Hello blogging world! It has been quite a while since I have done any blogging and I am so glad to be back at it. And this is actually one of the first posts on this NEW blog of mine. I had a different blog a few years back but had to take a break due to personal issues (Ya know, having babies and such). So I decided to not only come back but to switch things up with a new blog.
So here I am. New year, new blog. I know, it’s crazy. I am super excited for this new journey, and I am so excited for all I have planned for this blog of mine. Since it is still the beginning of 2020 I wanted to start this right by sharing my goals for this year.
Now, I’ll be honest. I am a goal setter and a list maker. I also love creating vision boards. So, needless to say, I have quite a list this year of things I would like to do. Some of them are pretty personal so I won’t be sharing them here (you’re welcome). But I will share a good variety of things I want to accomplish. So here we go!

Focus on my Relationship with God
I tend to have this goal every year but it is definitely the most important of my goals for 2020. This is an area that I believe can always be a focus and a goal. I always want to be closer to Him and to grow in my Christian faith. I have a lot of ideas on ways to do this throughout the year and I am excited for the growth to come.
Read my Bible Every Day
This is one of the ways I plan to make my first goal happen. Such an important thing that I completely fell out of the habit of doing. I am trying out the challenge from the Daily Grace Co. to read the bible in a year and so far it’s going great! I love starting my day out in the word. Doing so really affects how I approach each day and I want to make sure each day starts out right.
Journal
I love to journal! And I especially love going back and reading through my journals. I still have journals from middle school and high school that I love to go through. Nowadays, I get frustrated when I realize how many memories I don’t hold onto. When something that happened to me is brought up by someone else and I have no clue what they are talking about? I can’t stand it. So I want to start journaling again so I have all of my memories somewhere for myself and for my girls!
Start Blogging Again
Yay! We can check this one off. I, of course, have goals for this blog- which I will share in a separate post, so stay tuned for that!
Travel
I want to get out of Colorado this year. But, I also just want to travel around Colorado. So my goal is to plan one out of state trip and then do some road tripping around the state as well. I have been in Colorado far too long to still feel like I am new here. This year, that changes!
Learn 1 New Skill
When I know what it is y’all will be the first to know. I don’t know what it will be but I think it’s important to always strive to learn more in life. Hopefully I can fit in more than one skill but with my long list of to-dos I’m playing it safe and striving for one new thing this year.
Read 30 Books
This was my reading goal last year on Good Reads (add me!) and I did not hit it. In my defense I completely switched careers last year (2019 goal completed!) and it took up a lot of my time to get into the position I am in today. I am so grateful for it, so I am just going to reach for this goal again!
Be a Blessing to Others
This goal could be accomplished in so many ways. It could be through this blog, in my church, at work, etc. I just want to bless others in whatever way God sees fit. We have so many encounters in life that are so much more meaningful that we realize. I want to make sure I am affecting people in the right way every day.
So, there you have it! These are (some of) my goals for 2020. I am super excited for what I was able to accomplish in 2019 and I think this year is going to be amazing. I am hopeful, grateful, and blessed and I know that as long as I focus on that this year will go wonderfully.
Ok guys, your turn. I would love to hear a few of your goals for 2020 in the comments below! Let me know what you will be focusing on this year!
